AI review

Get a recruiter's read on your letter, the fixes that matter most and a rewrite that keeps your facts.

Add the cover letter first.

AI is optional. When you use it, the text above is sent to Anthropic's Claude to write the result. We don't store it and it isn't used for training. Check the result before you use it.

A simple cover letter structure

  1. Opening: the role, and one sentence on why this company in particular.
  2. Evidence: one or two short examples of results that match what the job asks for.
  3. Fit: how you would help with a problem the team mentions in the listing.
  4. Close: thank them and invite a conversation.

Show, don't claim

“I'm a strong communicator” tells a recruiter nothing. “I wrote the migration guide that 40 teams used to move to our new API” shows it. The checker flags common clichés so you can swap each one for an example.

Before you send it, compare your resume with the same job description to make sure both cover the skills the employer is looking for.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a cover letter be?

250 to 400 words, in three to five short paragraphs. That's long enough for one or two concrete examples and short enough to read in a minute.

What should a cover letter include?

The role you're applying for, why this company, one or two examples of relevant results, and a closing line inviting a conversation.

Which phrases should I avoid?

Unsupported claims like “team player”, “hard worker” and “passionate about”, plus generic greetings like “To whom it may concern”. Replace each claim with a short example.

Is my cover letter stored?

No. The checks run in your browser. If you choose the AI review, your letter is sent to our AI provider to write the result; it isn't stored or used for training.

Is the AI review free?

Your first AI review is free without an account. After that, sign in for free monthly AI credits; each review uses one. The checklist is always free.
